LA Kings NHL Training Camp

Another day in the books, Insiders!

The LA Kings took to the ice again today for a similar format to what we saw yesterday. The schedule for the day remained the same, although there was a swap between Group A and Group B, with the latter taking the ice first for this morning’s session.

New Guys Introduced

Among the players who participated in today’s on-ice sessions were some new faces, including:

  • Forward Gabriel Vilardi, who looks to be in great shape after a strong off-season.
  • Defenseman Jordan Spence, who showcased his impressive skating ability during drills.
  • Goaltender Cal Petersen, who seems to be recovering well from last season’s injuries.

These new players will undoubtedly bring fresh energy and excitement to the team as they work towards their goal of making it back into the playoffs this year.

Scrimmage Details

As for the scrimmage itself, it was a high-energy affair that saw both groups giving it their all. The score was neck-and-neck until the final buzzer sounded, but in the end, Group A emerged victorious with a 5-4 win.

The scrimmage also served as a great opportunity for the coaching staff to see how the players work together and respond to different situations on the ice. With the intensity level turned up a notch, it was clear that everyone is taking this training camp very seriously.

Kaliyev Injury Update

There were some initial concerns regarding forward Arthur Kaliyev’s participation in today’s session due to a nagging injury. However, after speaking with the coaching staff and observing his on-ice activity, it appears that he will be back on the ice soon.

Although we don’t know exactly when or how serious the issue is, it’s clear that the team is taking a cautious approach to ensure that Kaliyev gets the necessary rest and treatment before returning to action.
